GENERAL INFORMATION
PHONON DIAGNOSTICS TECHNIQUE
GENIN DMCC holds a leading position in the field of diagnostic services in the oil and gas industry, both onshore and offshore. The key to our success lies in the application of the complex inspection using among other techniques innovative Phonon Diagnostics Technique (PDT).

About PDT
PDT involves analyzing the propagation of elastic oscillations of component particles caused by phonon emission phenomena. Phonon emission originates from the material generated at the places of formation and development of defects, at the sites of corrosion damage development, leaks, and material degradation as a result of external impact.
Inspecting without interfering with the operating process. 100% coverage of the inspected component. POD at least 80%.
Normally PDT inspection process itself covers few activities:
- Pre-Phonon Diagnostics (pre-examination) is a set of measures aimed at obtaining the maximum amount of information about the inspected facility used later in the processing of phonon diagnostic data.
- Phonon Diagnostics (monitoring) is an inspection procedure, the purpose of which is to acquire phonon emission data.
- Post-Phonon Diagnostics (post-processing) includes data processing, analyzing and reporting.
